MorFIT Gym COVID-19 Response Frequently Asked Questions

Our priority is our people, especially in times like these. We will continue to follow the guidance of the State of Maryland and keep our members up-to-date on all club updates.

Public Health Protocols – Updated December 2020

Anyone experiencing flu-like symptoms including coughing, excessive sneezing, shortness of breath, or illness will be asked to leave the facility and seek medical attention and/or 14-Day suspension of gym access to allow for quarantine and Covid-19 testing and clearance.

Safety of Members

  • All members and guests will be required to follow state and county mask and face covering guidelines. You will be required to have one at MORFIT.
  • Members and guests will be required to have their temperature checked prior to working out. Anyone registering as having a fever will not be permitted to use the facility and may be asked to obtain medical clearance before returning.
  • All cardio equipment will be limited to every-other machine use to ensure social distancing requirements are being met.
  • MORFIT will be limiting the number of members and guests allowed in the facility at once and per state and county guidelines. Our offering and package adjustments have allowed this to happen without prior gym use registration.
  • Members and guests will be required to maintain proper social distancing of 6-10 feet apart while on the workout floor.
  • Group fitness classes will be available through online registration only. Anyone may register until capacity limit of 10 is reached.
  • Cycling classes will be held in the upstairs main group fitness studio and limited to 10 participants.
  • Members and guests will be required to wipe down all machines and weights used with sanitary wipes or disinfectant spray. Failure to do this will result in gym use suspension.

Safety of Team Members

  • Staff temperature checks before scheduled shift will occur for the first 30 days.
  • Staff will be required to wear PPE in the facility at all times including masks and gloves and for the foreseeable future.
  • Staff will be required to wash hands in restrooms 1x per hour minimally.
  • Food consumption will be done outside of the facility, team members working a shift longer than 6 hours will receive a 30 minute off-site break to eat, etc.
  • Contact-less check out and limited in-house staffing
  • Members will be required to complete basic accounting requests online, such as change of billing information, updating credit card, etc.
  • All members will need to opt-in for email notifications and stay up-to-date with the club happenings through the MORFIT website.
  • Acrylic face shield for credit card processing machine have been purchased for additional safety of team members and members purchasing merchandise and food items at the front desk. Drinks and bars will be sold in bulk to limit contact.

Cleaning Guidelines

  • Our cleaning team has been hard at work deep cleaning the facility during the closure. We will be adding two additional deep cleaning days per week to ensure the facility is well maintained and sanitized.
  • Team members will sanitize their station at the front desk including all high traffic surfaces at the beginning and end of every shift.

Our boutique fitness center and studio offers a variety of private and group training options like Bootcamp, HIIT, and Circuit Training taught by a high level personal training staff. The studio also caters to a fit and fun clientele who enjoy Yoga, Zumba, Barre, Les Mills, and Cycling taught by high level instructors.

How To Book Your Class Online:

1. Go to  https://morfitgym.com/class-schedule/ on your desktop or mobile phone.
2. Select the day and class format you’d like to attend.
3. Select “Register For Class”
4. On the booking page, select the day and time.
5. Fill out the booking questions and basic information and select “Schedule Event” 
6. You are registered for class!  Come in a few minutes early on the day of class so that we may get you checked in.

How To Book Your Zoom Class Online:


1. Go to  https://morfitgym.com/class-schedule/ on your desktop or mobile phone.

2. Select the Day and Class you’d like  to attend.

3. Click on “Register for In Person or Virtual Class” Button.

4. Select the Time and Click Confirm

5. Fill out the form and on the Check Box, choose Virtual on Zoom then click on “Schedule Event” button. Congratulations! You are Registered for the Virtual Class! But wait there’s more….

6. Download Zoom App on your device, could be your Desktop, Laptop or Mobile Phone from https://zoom.us/download.
7. Once the App is downloaded, we strongly recommend that you Sign Up for a Free Zoom Account.
8. Once Installation and Sign Up is down, open up your Zoom App and Login.
9. If the Login is successful, click on the LINK you received when you Registered for the Virtual Class and it should direct you to a Registration Page.

10. Fill out the information then click Register and it will send you over to the actual class.
11. When the class is about to start, please put yourself on mute to avoid buffering on your Instructors Audio.

Class Rules:

  1. Classes are limited to 9 in-person participants, first come first served. Each person must register for class online at  https://morfitgym.com/class-schedule/
  2. Each participant must follow state and county guidelines for mask use. Disposable blue masks are available for free and light cotton “MORFIT” masks are available for purchase.
  3. Any equipment used must be wiped down with sanitary wipes or disinfectant spray by each participant before and after use.
  4. Please bring your own mat to all YOGA classes.
  5. As a courtesy to other members and your instructor, if you register for a class and are unable to attend, please cancel the class booking with 24 hours notice. This will allow someone else to fill the spot.
All group fitness classes are included in the membership unless otherwise stated. All Les Mills programs are included in the membership as well. There may be a fee associated with certain specialty programs and events hosted by MORFIT.
MORFIT Gym offers class passes and guest access passes to all non-members. If you are visiting, have a friend or family member who is visiting, or you just want temporary gym access we have options available for you. You can find class pass pricing here. You can also purchase class or gym passes directly from the front desk on the day of your visit. Please call 301-963-4800 for more information.
