MOCO FIT – Youth Fitness Program

With COVID-19 requirements closing school gyms and recreational programs, we felt the needed to do our part to support the youth. With that in mind, MORFIT Gym is proud to announce the launch of MOCO FIT. MORFIT Gym will be hosting both virtual and LIVE classes for children and athletes throughout the county.  MOCO FIT will provide a safe, friendly, free, and well organized outdoor fitness program to Montgomery County residents.We currently have structured workouts of 45 minute – 1 hour training for the following ages and groups:

Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

  • Youth Conditioning and Training  – Ages 8 – 11 – 1:00 pm 
  • Athletic Conditioning Training – Ages 12 – 15 – Junior Varsity – 1:00 pm 
  • Athletic Conditioning Training – Ages 15 – 18 – Varsity – 2:00 pm 
The classes will run through the summer with sign up being available until the class maximum capacity is reached. Each grade-school age participant will sign the National Fitness Foundation’s Youth Pledge and in conjunction with the Presidential Fitness Test.
 
  • Location:  MORFIT Gym, 12171 Darnestown Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20878

  • Program Duration: June 27th – September 12th

  • Class Duration: 1 – 2 Hours 

  • Class Participation Requirements:  All youth classes will follow social distancing guidelines provided by the State and County.  Each participant will be required to submit a signed liability waiver with authorization from a parent or legal guardian prior to the first day of training. Each participant should plan to bring a mask or face covering. Water, electrolyte beverages, and snacks will be available for purchase at MORFIT.

  • Class Types: HIIT, CONDITIONING, SPORTS TRAINING, KIDS FIT, YOGA, DANCE

  • Program Fees: There is no charge for your students participation in the program throughout the summer. We
    are self funding this program and would appreciate your support if you are able. The recommended per class
    donation is $15 or $500 for the entire summer per child. Donations will go towards running and funding the program, materials, equipment, purchasing t-shirts for volunteers, and paying the Coaches.
