Getting started on our journey at MorFIT is easy! We have over 50 group classes to choose from and over 100 weight and cardio machines for your use. All classes are open to MorFIT Members to attend. If you are not a MorFIT member and would like to attend a class you can purchase a class pass. Gentle Yoga with Melanie is a class for students who are new to yoga or who prefer a slower-paced class that combines strengthening and stretching. Focus is on body awareness, alignment principles, moving with the breath, and an introduction to Yoga philosophy.

Melanie Psaltakis is a Certified AFAA Primary Group Exercise Instructor and Yoga Alliance Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500), with over 2500 teaching hours. She’s also completed the 100-hour YogaFit Warrior Program (trauma-sensitive specialty) and 108-hour Anusara Yoga Immersion Program.

Begin your yoga practice with a series of varied asanas each week to develop relaxation, flexibility, balance and strength. We then will do a series of yoga asanas in a flow sequence that challenge balance and focus, followed by a few standing yoga postures to build balance and ease. Finish off your practice back on the mat, lengthening and easing into total relaxation.

Please join  Paulina  and your fellow MorFIT Members for our weekly Silver Sculpting class. This group class is designed to help seniors improve mobility, flexibility and understand the basics of strength development. Paulina will work closely with you to ensure that you feel comfortable  with the exercises. Beginners can start the class in a chair and get comfortable with the basics of strength development. For those more advanced this class is a great way to reaffirm your technique, fundamentals and have fun with your fellow MorFIT Members. You’re never too young or old to start.

Paulina Balderrama is  ISSA Personal Training certified, ISSA Exercise specialist certified , Triger Point, TRX suspension training, NCSF personal training certified.

Body sculpting (or core conditioning) is a non-aerobic, muscle-toning class, usually focused on core strength. Most sculpting classes use weight bars, exercise bands, or dumbbells, or a combination of these gadgets. You perform traditional weight-training moves in a class setting.
